Your Nose Knows - Light A Candle

To me, there is nothing better than coming home to a clean and fresh smelling house! Especially the scent, having fresh flowers and other items that keep your home smelling delicious can really heal the soul from the everyday stressors that occur. Like mediation, inhaling your favorite scent can really bring you to a blissful state of peace and joy that makes the ending of your daily journey and absolute pleasure.

The sense of smell is the only one of the five senses directly linked to the brain's emotional control center, the limbic lobe.  Anxiety, depression, fear, anger and joy all emanate from this region.  The scent of a special fragrance can evoke memories and emotions before we're even consciously aware of it.  (Where smells are concerned, we react first and think later.)  All other senses (touch, taste, hearing and sight) are routed through the thalamus, which acts as the switchboard for the brain, passing stimuli onto the cerebral cortex (the conscious thought center) and other part parts of the brain.

I say all this to say when the day is over, light a candle and use its aroma therapeutic properties to heal any wounds that may have occurred both consciously and unconsciously during your day. Your nose knows how to heal you!

Love,
Victoria

Words of Healthy - Life Is Not An Emergency

While I was driving today, I noticed there was a car driving rather close to me as if the person inside was in a rush to get somewhere. Instead of getting upset, I decided to pull over to next lane to let the car pass by. I was also in a hurry but there was one thing I did notice...... We always ended up at the red stop lights at the same time and it made me remember the wise words my friend Al said to me
"Victoria! Slow down, life is not an emergency."

I instantly started reminiscing on times when I was so stressed out about rushing to meeting deadlies, rushing to my next destination, rushing others, rushing myself, rushing life, rushing time, rushing "success" rushing to get no where. I became calm in my thinking and I remembered that time is a human construct, our minds cannot begin to comprehend the wonderful powers of God and even if so, we all arrive at our destinations separately.

There should be no rush on life because life is not an emergency. Like you have probably heard many times before, life is/are moments to be held dear towards the advancements of your consciousness. The purpose for human life is to propagate spiritual knowledge and remember to take your time, exercize faith and be humble. Where harmony exist chaos cannot.

It's ok to slow down, and erase the concept  of a finish line. Be happy with this present moment and aim to be the best you are right now. You are a forever evolving spiritual being. Love yourself, love others, be nice, be kind and always promote random acts of kindness because we all suffer for one another in our connection to the absolute.

Don't make life an emergency because there are no deadlines to your path. There is no final destination to be reached. You are constantly in motion and in competition with no one. Take sometime for time, you will never know what you will discover or avoid,

Victoria R
